Having local multiplayer is really cool and having that is a feat itself, so congrats! There are a few bugs, such as the double jump sound playing if you hit the button even if you're out of jumps, but its still really impressive. I'd adjust some stage blast zones and add some hit effects to sell hits and whiffs, but overall its still good. A huge leap from the beta btw where there were no animations and every move was electric wind god fist.
I thought the general idea of creating a fighting game as a platformer was very cool and innovative. I also like the multiplayer aspect of the game, it is very simple to set up so you can play the game with multiple friends(locally). The game is a bit awkward to play as the second controller, whereas the first player has a big advantage if doing local multiplayer. Otherwise, I think all the gameplay and fighting were cool, and the maps were interesting(except for the forest map which was way too big).
This is a very interesting game. I love that you guys chose to do this smash style game. I think you nailed the basics of the game and it would obviously be cool to continue the dev. I'm not too sure how you could make it different from smash, but it w was very cool. I think the jump was a little floaty, but other than that, it was cool.
I think that it was amazing how multiplayer was implemented. It was really cool seeing all of the mechanics that were put into the game. Something I realized was that some awkwardness when it comes to some of the fighting mechanics, like the knockback. I also think it would have been nice if there were a few more moves available.
I like the background for the levels. The arenas are pretty interesting. The fact that you guys managed to introduce multiplayer is amazing, especially for the fact that you managed to implement it in such a short time. I wonder if it would be possibly to introduce more varied movesets to play rather than just playing as Kirby. Overall, great job!
I think this game is really cute and the levels are really unique from one another. The art for each one is really well made. I love that this game is multiplayer and that you took a well-known character and put it in your own game setting. There are a few bugs, but I think the objective of the game is great.
As a lover of smash bros, this is a incredible concept and the fact you implemented multiplayer is amazing. Multiplayer is no easy feat, and its done here. Obviously the combat system isn't amazing as there are a lot of random interactions that don't seem like they are supposed to happen (i played with my roommate) but it seems fun enough. Having kirby in your game is so funny and also a remake of pokemon stadium.
Super smash brothers is one of the best fighting games around and I think this game is pays homage to it in so many ways. Kirby being from super smash bros and seeing some of the inspiration from those levels in your game is nostalgic for me, and I think the combat is fun. It was such a great leap from beta being just circled and walking into each other Great work! (Kaya)
I think the multiplayer came out pretty well, considering the time and that it was your first time. It is amazing how you've managed to work out the multiplayer. Small bugs, but good enough.
The multiplayer feature is awesome! Played it against my roommate and it was definitely a bit difficult with keyboard (not that it's the intended way to play). Having an AI to play against would be really cool for solo play. Love the art and the overall implementation, the fighting mechanics and unique moves are really great.
Really cool what you guys were able to make in the short time we had. Cool level designs I can see being real stages, with some adjustments like emphasizing the blast zone, adjusting the size like twilight forest. Some bugs as well with not being able to respawn in ice blizzard or only one player being able to take damage from the lava at a time. Also some obvious copy right issues with using Kirby or pokemon in your game
This was a really cool game to see in the presentation. I was really impressed that your team was able to make a complete platform fighter. The local multiplayer was greatly done, and although it could be improved, it is still really impressive. Many of the mechanics could also be improved and refined. One particular example of this was the knockback mechanic felt a little awkward, especially when it came to a sudden stop at points.
